Action Principle

Commonly known as “Ultherapy”, it uses High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to reach the SMAS layer of the traditional surgical skin lift. It has an action depth of 4.5mm and turns the focused energy into a fine “hot spot” to make it work under the skin. The temperature can reach 65℃~70℃, causing immediate contraction. Q1. How long can I see the result of Ulthera?

The effect can be divided into immediate and long-term:

The first stage is immediate. The skin collagen and SMAS layer will shrink immediately, so you can feel an immediate firming and lifting sensation right after the treatment.

Before Treatment

If you have the following conditions, please inform in advance and consult a physician to confirm whether treatment can be carried out: 1. People with photosensitive dermatitis, keloid, hives. 2. Patients with a viral infection, lesion, abnormal blood or immune system at the treatment site. 3. People who have had herpes labialis, because it may stimulate the recurrence of herpes labialis. 4. If you have a major illness, take special drugs, or drug allergies, you should inform in advance. 5. If you are having Isotretinoin you need to discuss the stopping time with the doctor, which depends on the time and dose you had it. 6. Chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, please keep it within the normal range.
If there are the following conditions, it is not recommended to perform Ulthera:
1. There are active implants (e.g. pacemakers or defibrillators) or metal implants in the body
2. Pregnant women.
One week before treatment, stop using retinoic acid. In addition, do not use alpha hydroxy acids or other treatments such as exfoliating and skin peeling.
Please refrain from excessive sun exposure, SPA or sunbathing before 1 month.

Postoperative care

After the treatment, it might have some temporary redness, local edema, muscle or jawline tenderness, and slight soreness, these are normal reactions after Ulthera therapy. Moisturizing and sun protection of the treated area should be strengthened after the operation.
Avoid baths, saunas, steam spa, swimming, hot springs, etc. within two weeks.
Avoid using irritating maintenance products containing whitening, alcohol, acid or exfoliating on the treated area to avoid skin discomfort and allergies.
Rarely: Do not move the head arbitrarily during the course of treatment to avoid blisters or linear edema. You can apply ice after the operation and follow the doctor’s instructions.
