The number of threads needed varies for each individual due to different levels of skin laxity. Most clients typically require around 8-12 threads (4-6 on each side of the face). However, the actual number should be assessed on-site by a professional physician for more accurate results.
There is generally no significant recovery period, and normal activities can be resumed on the same day. In some cases, there may be slight discomfort or tension in the treated area, which usually resolves naturally within four to six weeks.
The product becomes transparent within the first month after implantation and maintains its effect for six months in the body before undergoing complete biodegradation through hydrolysis. Polydioxanone is a commonly used and widely accepted absorbable thread material composed of biodegradable and compatible proteins. It rarely causes allergic reactions or side effects, and its timely absorption reduces the likelihood of future adverse reactions. Implantation studies in rats indicate that the initial tensile strength is approximately 88% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks, and 45% at 6 weeks. Data from implantation studies show absorption occurring at least 120 days after implantation, with significant absorption between 120 and 180 days and essentially complete absorption between 180 and 220 days.
There may be mild bruising, local swelling, temporary skin tension, noticeable pulling sensations, or a sensation of a foreign body under the skin around the injection site after the procedure. These are normal early postoperative phenomena and will gradually subside.
